Finally able to try their malasadas. Best malasada I've had in the Bay Area. Reminds me of Leonard's in Hawaii but slightly less glutenous. They kept really well. It was still soft and yummy after three days. Had the mango and Turon flavor. Liked the mango better with a slight tartiness. But even better was the mochi cakes. It's like a cross between a Bundt cake and a bibingka. Dense and has slight chewiness of a bibingka but still soft like a Bundt cake. Tried the panda and Ube which were both good but ube still wins. I'd pass on the ube cinnamon roll. It was a huge piece but was just ok. The Ube flavor didn't really pop out from the thick bread. Maybe if it layers ofactual Ube jam would be better.

Maxwell is the greatest ever! They gave us except service and a complimentary malasada too! We ordered a couple more malasadas, pandan bar, pandan mochi cake and an ube cake. Oh yes, and some Spanish bread! So good! Also, check out the amazing tile work in the bathroom Salamat for the goodies!

My mom and I stopped by today to try their breakfast and it did not disappoint! I haven't been to Jojoli in 10+ years and their renovation looks incredible. I had their bistek with garlic rice and it hit the spot!!! My mom had their breakfast combo and was a big fan. Their Ube cheesecake and Ube malasada were 11/10 amazing. Super wonderful cashier and cute little helper! We will definitely be back soon!

Absolutely had to check out this spot for a Malasada because a friend raved about it. What I didn't expect was to leave with half the bakery in my arms! Justin greeted us like we were long-lost pals and walked us through a gastronomic paradise. Seriously, every option sounded better than the last. We ended up with an armload of malasadas (after tasting one), an Ube bar (because, why not?), an Ube cinnamon roll (no regrets there), and this coffee soba drink thing that was straight from the heavens. If you haven't been here yet, what are you waiting for? Go now! Highly recommend!

I found this place on Instagram and then a friend recommended it, so I had to go and visit! I think it's fairly new. Upon walking in, the place was bright, sleek and clean. We came super early so there were only a few other customers there. We were greeted right away and the person at the front went over the menu items. Everything was made fresh and homemade so I was so excited to try all of it. It can get really pricey if you eat with your eyes like me. We each got a 2 item combo silog (corned beef & tocino, and longanisa and corned beef). I also got the ube latte and 8 malasadas. Everything tasted phenomenal and was made with love! The service was superb; it felt like home. I can't wait to go back and try their other dessert items.

Came here on a Saturday around 9:20am and it wasn't busy. Maybe two people ahead of me. Looks like they have a good array of pastries and plated meals. The workers were very friendly! They didn't set all the pastries they had out all at once. As were about to check out they had brought out their croffle which we ended up getting one. Wish they took it out sooner so we could see everything all at once. Here is what we ordered: - Ube Malasada: 5/5 - This was our favorite!!!! The malasada was so soft and sugary and the Ube flavor was perfect! Not too overpowering but not lacking in flavor. The cream was light and airy. - Pandan Cruffin: 4.5/5 - The outside was crispy and sugary and the inside was soft. The pandan flavor was perfect. Not too overpowering or lacking in sweetness. Loved the balance between the cruffin and the cream. - Mango Croffle: 4.5/5 - Loved how fresh the mango flavor was! The croffle was crispy and sweet on the outside and the inside was buttery and soft. The mango whipped topping added the right amount of tartness to the overall croffle.

In all honesty over the pandemic, I found a number of Filipino bakeries that I fallen in love with! It's not a pandemic time anymore, so I don't need to drive to Berkeley or Manteca for these delicious goods, or out of boredom! I could just come semi locally here and fulfill a foodie dream I need!! As I walked in, there was a gentleman and a lady working behind the counter. Both greeted me, but I had no idea of what I wanted. Plus I wanted 1 million pictures of everything since I love their set up. Lol as I listen to the couple in front of me order, it gave me an idea of what I wanted to get, take home as well as eat there in the restaurant /café. Lol. The Kalamansi cucumber drink is freaking delicious!! I love how sour and tart Kalamansi itself is on its own mix with cucumber makes it smooth, and I've never done that before granted, I put calamansi in my own green tea at home! It was a piping 82° this particular Saturday and I was at a Hawaiian festival in Hayward, so this was the perfect thing I needed to quench my thirst!! Along with that, I had the Ube Cuffin, and I was only going to take a bite, but after a bite it was so freaking delicious. I couldn't help myself!! I ate the whole thing and then bought an ube cinnamon roll to go home. Hee I also got a chicken empanada, and the baker came out to tell me she mixed within the mixture. This particular seasoning I had never seen before, but I was willing to try it and let my son eat the rest. Lol sadly, I'm allergic to mono sodium gluconate/MSG , but my son, luckily is not so he loves to eat all of our cultural Asian foods, as well as our cousins Filipino foods!! He loved the empanada, and I ate a bite without any issues!! Man! I should've bought two of those chicken empanadas because my son inhaled the whole thing! Mind you he's incredibly picky about food, this means something!! The environment in the café itself is incredibly clean, well lit and gives you the relaxing modern style. I wish they had 1 million succulents for sale also! It gives you that home decor style that just makes you want to work from home if you can do that and sit there all day and eat pastries and eat their delicious Home-cooked style meals/lunch as well as try all of the things from the café!! I will definitely be driving by here. Next time I go through the East Bay and I'm so happy I found this place!!! Plus, the lady I spoke to has an amazing "auntie type" vibe, and she made me feel like family, even though I only met her once. Hee granted I don't think she's old enough to be my auntie, but she could be an amazing big cousin or something. Hee.
